Thrilling WRC Battle with Hankook at EKO Acropolis Rally Greece

The FIA World Rally Championship visited one of the toughest gravel events of the season in June with the EKO Acropolis Rally Greece. On the demanding stages around Loutraki, Sébastien Ogier and Thierry Neuville battled for victory right up to the final day. After Neuville started Sunday in the lead, Ogier turned the rally in his favour over the closing stages. Benefiting from the consistent performance of Hankook’s rally tyres on the punishing gravel roads, the Frenchman moved into the lead and secured not only the overall victory but also the fastest time on the final Power Stage. The win marked the Toyota driver’s 69th career victory in the FIA World Rally Championship.

Neuville had to settle for second place after a technical issue, while Takamoto Katsuta completed the podium in the second Toyota. Throughout the constantly changing conditions of the legendary rally, Hankook’s rally tyres once again impressed with outstanding stability and consistently high grip levels. Championship leader Elfyn Evans finished seventh to maintain his advantage at the top of the standings. The FIA World Rally Championship continues with Delfi Rally Estonia around Tartu from 16 to 19 July.

Spa Heat Challenge Shakes Up the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe Championship

The third event of the 2026 Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe season, held as part of the CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa, delivered spectacular GT racing on the legendary 7.004-kilometre Spa-Francorchamps circuit. In front of 132,000 spectators, ambient temperatures exceeding 40 degrees Celsius pushed both drivers and machinery to their limits. Even under these extreme conditions, the Hankook Ventus Race impressed with consistently high grip levels. In the first of the two 50-minute races, South Africa’s Anthony Pretorius and Czech driver Bronislav Formánek charged from eighth on the grid to claim overall victory. The duo quickly brought the Hankook tyres into their optimal operating window, laying the foundation for their impressive comeback. In the sixth race of the season, Sweden’s Axel Bengtsson and Månz Thalin celebrated their maiden overall victory in the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe.

The championship battle also took a decisive turn over the weekend. Before the third event of the season, Switzerland’s Simone Iaquinta and Italy’s Kevin Gilardoni led the Pro standings, with Denmark’s Silas Lovén Rytter and Italy’s Patrik Fraboni of Oregon Team trailing by four points. A second-place finish in Friday’s race reduced the gap to just one point. On Saturday, Iaquinta and Gilardoni retired following a collision at Les Combes, while Rytter and Fraboni secured seventh place. As a result, the Oregon Team pairing moved to the top of the Pro standings and now heads to the next round at the Nürburgring, from 28 to 30 August, with a seven-point championship advantage.

Strong SP9 Pro Debut for Hankook Competition at the Nürburgring

 Hankook Competition made its SP9 Pro class debut during the sixth round of the Nürburgring Endurance Series on 20 June. On the 24.358-kilometre combination of the Nürburgring Nordschleife and Grand Prix circuit, South Korea’s Jongkyum Kim, Dutch driver Roelof Bruins and Porsche works driver Michael Christensen of Denmark climbed from 11th on the grid to finish sixth in temperatures of around 32 degrees Celsius. In a field of 109 cars, intense wheel-to-wheel battles and the challenge of lapping slower-class competitors demanded maximum concentration throughout the race. In these demanding conditions, the Hankook Ventus Race delivered consistently high grip and outstanding stability, allowing the trio to rely on precise vehicle control both in close GT3 battles and while navigating heavy traffic, enabling them to continue their charge through the field.

Egozi Delivers a Perfect Eurocup-3 Weekend in Portimão

 The second event of the 2026 Eurocup-3 season at the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve in Portimão delivered two action-packed races featuring plenty of close battles throughout the field. Drivers benefited from the reliable performance of the Hankook Ventus Race across the weekend.

In the third race of the season, American driver James Egozi quickly brought his Hankook tyres into their ideal operating window, controlled the race from the front and claimed a commanding victory. His Brazilian team-mate Heitor Dall’Agnol finished second, while Dutch driver René Lammers completed the podium in third. Egozi repeated the feat in the second race, once again taking victory ahead of Dall’Agnol. Keanu Al Azhari of the United Arab Emirates completed the podium after an impressive recovery drive, using the performance of the Hankook Ventus Race to carve his way through the field and secure third place.

With two victories and the fastest lap in both races, Egozi extended his championship lead to 106 points. The next round will take place from 3 to 5 July at the Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari in Imola, Italy.

Exciting Formula 4 Battles with Hankook in Portimão and Aragón

The Spanish Formula 4 Championship delivered outstanding junior racing during its June events in Portimão and Aragón, with plenty of close on-track battles. Qualifying sessions at both circuits were decided by mere thousandths of a second, underlining the outstanding performance and consistency of the Hankook Ventus Race.

In Portimão, Borys Lyzen was the driver to beat. Combining a flawless performance with the consistently high grip of the Hankook Ventus Race, the Polish driver controlled the opening two races of the weekend from the front and took victory in both. Dutch driver Kasper Schormans then celebrated his maiden Spanish Formula 4 victory in the third race.

At the following round in Aragón, Spain’s Nacho Tuñón, British driver Nathan Tye and Serbia’s Andrej Petrovic each claimed a race win. Tye particularly impressed with one victory and two additional podium finishes, prevailing in several close battles where the Hankook Ventus Race provided the stability needed to stay ahead of the competition. Meanwhile, Portugal’s Noah Monteiro scored valuable points in all three races, allowing him to move into the lead of the drivers’ championship through his consistent performances.

Birdsall Enjoys Perfect Supercar Challenge Weekend with Hankook in Zolder

 As part of the Supercar Madness event at Zolder, fans enjoyed spectacular GT racing around the Belgian circuit, with Marlon Birdsall delivering a dominant performance throughout the weekend. The British driver won all four races and also claimed both pole positions for the sprint races. In the opening race, the BMW M6 GT3 driver started from the back of the grid following a gearbox issue in qualifying but charged through the field, making the most of the exceptional grip provided by the Hankook Ventus Race tyres to secure victory. Birdsall followed that up with another win in Race 2 after prevailing in several thrilling wheel-to-wheel battles. He remained unbeaten in the two concluding sprint races, completing a flawless weekend with four victories. Throughout the event, Hankook’s premium racing tyres impressed with outstanding stability and reliable performance, both in the high temperatures and during the many close racing battles. The next round of the Supercar Challenge will take place from 31 July to 2 August as part of the Jack's Racing Days at the TT Circuit Assen in the Netherlands.
