Hankook has been official technical partner and tyre supplier of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship since Season 9.
As a winter tyre specifically designed to meet the requirements of electric cars, the Hankook iON winter has a specially developed tread compound that ensures the lowest possible rolling resistance without sacrificing performance on wet and snow-covered roads.

Production of car tyre
The successful partnership between Hankook and 24H Series began in April 2014. The cooperation came about at short notice, and the first race together took place at the end of May in Zandvoort.
At the Tire Cologne 2024 exhibition Hankook was presenting a new tyre from its iON series for electric vehicles, the iON GT.
