Neu-Isenburg, Germany, 28 November 2025 – Premiere of the new TUNE IT! SAFE! campaign vehicle: The Essen Motor Show preview day on 28th November 2025 will feature the unveiling of the Ford Mustang GT Fastback in the authentic livery of German police service vehicles at Stand B11 in Hall 7. This will be part of the TUNE IT! SAFE! campaign, which is being supported by its main sponsor, premium tyre manufacturer Hankook, the German Federal Ministry of Transport, the Association of German Automobile Tuners (VDAT) and many other partners.
The show car, customised by Fiegeperformance with a 328 kW (440 hp) V8 engine, is already the 21st TUNE IT! SAFE! campaign vehicle since the initiative started in 2005 and shows that creative tuning does not have to conflict with legal requirements. The Ford Mustang is equipped with Hankook Ventus S1 evo 3 tyres in the size 265/30 ZR 21 (96Y) at the front axle and 285/30 ZR 21 (100Y) at the rear axle on Barracuda Razzer rims. The ultra-high-performance tyres are designed for precision handling, short braking distances and high stability in the wet. The combination improves steering precision, traction and directional stability at high speeds. A rigid carcass, a high-grip tread compound and the asymmetric profile ensure accurate feedback at the front and confident power transmission at the rear – in perfect harmony with the extensively modified chassis setup of the V8 Mustang.
“We are proud to have supported TUNE IT! SAFE! since its inception,” says Roland Hehner, Director of Sales Central Germany and Head of Product & Tuning at Hankook Tyres Germany. “For us, safe tuning means uncompromising quality and genuine driving pleasure, while fully complying with the rules. With the Hankook Ventus S1 evo 3, we are showing on the campaign vehicle how maximum performance, efficiency and safety can be successfully combined – the very essence of the initiative.”
Comprehensive tuning package focusing on technology and appearance
Sporty accents are also added to the campaign vehicle by a front splitter and rear spoiler for optimising flow as well as striking tailpipe trims that enhance the rear end. Stable deceleration is delivered by two-piece brake discs at the front, while an additional brake and wheel bearing cooling system stabilises the system in the event of repeated braking.
