As a subsidiary of Hankook, Model Solution is known for its innovative designs, prototypes and small-batch development in the future technologies sector and is an important component of the group's medium to long-term Hankook portfolio planning.
Founded in 1930 and located in Pasadena, California, ArtCenter College of Design is a world-renowned design school with a focus on industrial and mobility design, known for its practice-oriented curriculum.
Practice-Driven Implementation of Design Concepts
The partnership combines ArtCenter's curriculum with Model Solution's prototyping technologies and manufacturing capabilities. Selected projects from the “3D Modeling 3” course (Spring Semester 2026) will be manufactured by Model Solution as high-quality prototypes with production-ready quality and delivered to students at the end of the semester. Students will experience the entire manufacturing process: precise CAD reviews, application of CMF specifications, and structure and material selection for mass production. Model Solution covers all costs for manufacturing and logistics.
“This collaboration represents a meaningful project that brings together design education and real manufacturing technologies, providing students with a highly realistic industrial experience,” said CEO Hyungmin Yoo of Model Solution. “We will continue to take a leading role in nurturing global talent as a hardware platform company that integrates design excellence with manufacturing expertise.”
