Daventry, UK, 4th July 2024 – Five members of the Hankook Tyre UK team recently participated in a 10k Wolf Run at Stanford Hall, Lutterworth in aid of the Air Ambulance Services. The run included various man made and natural obstacles amidst a setting of dense woodland - a true mind and body challenge tackled by the Hankook wolf pack. Through a series of charity fundraising events leading up to the run, including office cake sales and social media awareness, the Hankook Tyre UK team raised £1,028 in aid of this fantastic charity, making them a top 15 percent fundraiser for JustGiving pages in June (JustGiving, 2024).
The partnership between premium tyre manufacturer Hankook and The Air Ambulance Service – and specifically the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance and Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Rutland Air Ambulance - was established in 2017 when Hankook donated the first set of tyres for the charity’s rapid response Critical Care Cars. As the charity’s helicopters are not flown in darkness or in extreme weather conditions, the Critical Care Cars are used in place of the helicopters and in instances where it is quicker to reach the emergency by road, ensuring lifesaving service round the clock, 365 days a year.
To date, Hankook has donated more than 200 tyres to the charity. The Critical Care Cars are fitted with Hankook’s award winning Ventus S1evo 3 SUV tyres which have an excellent performance rating on both wet and dry roads as well as high driving stability and steering precision. Hankook is proud to continue their partnership with the Air Ambulance Services and are delighted to donate its Wolf Run fundings to such a respectable cause.
