Neu-Isenburg, Germany, 10 August 2026 – Premium tyre manufacturer Hankook will present a range of tyre innovations for commercial vehicles at IAA Transportation 2026 in Hanover. Alongside its current portfolio for truck, trailer and bus applications, the company will present new tyre solutions for trailers and winter use. These will be exhibited at stand E09 in hall 11 and have been developed using advanced technologies to meet the high requirements for cost-efficiency and safety in road freight transport.
Extensive range of tyres for truck and bus applications
In addition to its product innovations, Hankook will share information on its varied range of tyres for long-distance, regional, and bus applications. This includes the Hankook Smart Line series for long-distance transport, Smart Flex for regional use, and e-Smart City for electric city buses. The portfolio is further complemented by trailer tyres from the Laufenn brand and the Hankook Alphatread retread solution.
Hankook’s presence at the trade show will also focus on tyre management solutions under the name “Hankook Smart Fleet”, along with additional service offerings as well as advanced technologies designed to help lower the total cost of ownership for fleets, while also reducing energy consumption and CO₂ emissions during operation. The stand concept will be rounded off by two exhibits from Hankook’s “Design Innovation Project”, among them the 3D-printed “Sustainable Concept Tire” and the “WheelBot 2” robotic platform.
Factory expansion for European commercial vehicle tyre production
Hankook will also share information at IAA Transportation about the expansion of its European production capacities. At its plant in Hungary, the company is investing in a new production line for truck and bus tyres with a capacity of up to 800,000 tyres per year. This facility will manufacture commercial vehicle tyres specifically for the European market. Local production in Hungary will help shorten delivery routes and increase the security of supply for customers across Europe.
