Neu-Isenburg, Germany, 17 August 2026 – Hankook, a leading global Tyre & Technology company, saw drivers equipped with tyres from the SUV tyre brand Dynapro sweep the top three overall positions at the 2026 Voly Grampian Forest Rally, held in Scotland, U.K., from August 7 to 8 (local time).
The event is a major rally competition held in the region set to host Rally Scotland, which is scheduled to join the FIA World Rally Championship (WRC), the world’s premier motorsport series sanctioned by the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA), as a new round in 2027. Featuring intense competition among world-class drivers, the event drew attention as an early showcase of the region’s rally conditions ahead of WRC Rally Scotland in 2027.
The 2027 WRC Rally Scotland is scheduled to take place across Aberdeenshire and Moray in the U.K. marking the WRC’s return to the U.K. following an eight-year absence since Wales Rally GB in 2019, the event will feature gravel stages through the forest regions of northeast Scotland.
The forest stages across Aberdeenshire and Kincardineshire, where the rally was held, featured rough gravel and continuously undulating surfaces, demanding exceptional grip and durability. Drivers equipped with the Dynapro R213, Hankook’s extreme all-weather rally tyre, delivered stable performance across the challenging terrain to sweep all three podium positions. The Dynapro R213 is available in two compounds, Hard and Soft, enabling strategic tyre selection according to surface and weather conditions.
Jon Armstrong of the M-Sport Ford World Rally Team claimed the overall victory, setting the fastest time on seven of the rally’s 10 stages to secure his first-ever gravel rally win. His teammate Romet Jürgenson finished second, giving the team a one-two finish.
Nikolay Gryazin of Lancia Corse HF finished third, while his teammate Yohan Rossel took fifth place. With four Hankook Tyre-equipped drivers finishing among the top five, the results demonstrated Hankook’s ability to deliver consistent performance across different Rally2 vehicles from manufacturers including Ford and Lancia.
