Hankook Atlas BX has a wide portfolio of AGM (absorbent glass mat), EFB (enhanced flooded battery) and MF (maintenance free) batteries that meet stringent automotive requirements. With the presentation of the latest innovations in battery technology at Automechanika Frankfurt, Hankook highlights the further expansion of its battery business and underlines its growth plans in the European market. In addition, the company plans to establish Hankook & Company ES Deutschland GmbH in October, which will be responsible for supplying the European market with batteries from its Europe Distribution Center (EDC).
“Hankook & Company ES Business Headquarters aims to become a ‘Smart Energy Solution Provider’, a company who pioneers the future energy era beyond a lead-acid battery producer,” said Jongseon Ahn, COO of Hankook & Company. “We are truly looking forward to showcasing our battery products and exchanging ideas with visitors and people in related industries.”
Automechanika Frankfurt is regarded as the world’s leading trade fair for automotive parts and services. This year, 2,800 exhibitors from 70 countries are expected to visit the nine exhibition halls.
Since the launch of the MF battery in 1982, Hankook & Company ES Business Headquarters has continuously expanded its research and development. In 2005, the company was the first in Korea to launch an AGM battery for start-stop systems. Hankook & Company has three manufacturing plants and its research and development centre and serves about 450 customers in 100 countries through its four global sales locations in the US and Europe.
