Daventry, UK – 3rd February 2026 – Premium tyre manufacturer Hankook continues its support of vital emergency services by equipping frontline vehicles with high-quality tyres. Hankook Tyre UK has donated 12 Laufenn tyres to Festival Medical Services (FMS), a volunteer-run, non-profit charity delivering professional medical support at major public events across the UK and supporting medical charities worldwide. Staffed by qualified medical professionals, FMS reinvests all surplus funds into charitable healthcare projects, ensuring both immediate event safety and lasting social impact.
By fitting three FMS ambulances with Laufenn X Fit Van 4S tyres—a versatile, all-season tyre designed for safety, reliability, and long-lasting performance—Hankook is helping ensure that FMS crews can continue their lifesaving work with confidence.
Since the charities inception in 1979, FMS has grown to be one the UK’s most respected event medical providers. Highly skilled volunteers, including doctors and nurses from the NHS, deliver hospital-level care at some of the country’s most prestigious events working in partnership with NHS hospitals and Ambulance Services. This collaboration ensures that local emergency resources remain available to their communities and aren’t overwhelmed during events.
David Parry, Chief Operating Officer & Executive Trustee from Festival Medical Services said: “We are deeply grateful to Hankook for the generous sponsorship of tyres for our ambulances, which makes a vital difference to our small charity and our ability to support causes worldwide. Although our vehicles typically cover relatively low mileage, they are used predominantly off-road, where tyres are often vulnerable to sidewall and tread damage, making this support invaluable to us. Most recently, one of our older vehicles fitted with Laufenn all-season tyres completed a challenging journey to Ukraine, safely navigating deep snow and temperatures as low as -20°C—a powerful testament to the quality and reliability of Hankook tyres.”
Hankook’s support for medical charities extends back many years, most notably through its partnership with the Air Ambulance Services, which covers Northamptonshire, Warwickshire, Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Rutland. The partnership began in 2017, when Hankook donated the first set of tyres for the charity’s rapid response Critical Care Cars. As the Air Ambulance cannot operate helicopters in darkness or in extreme weather conditions, the Hankook equipped vehicles are a vial resource, enabling clinicians to deliver lifesaving care on the ground, 365 days a year. Hankook’s latest donation to FMS builds on this legacy, ensuring its ambulances are ready to provide reliable, rapid support whenever needed.
Hankook is proud to stand behind charities whose work makes a real difference to people’s lives. The company looks forward to continuing its partnerships and exploring new opportunities to support organisations that provide essential, life-changing services in the future.
Neil Barrett, EV Lead & Key Account Manager at Hankook, commented: “We’re delighted to be able to donate our all-season Laufenn tyres to Festival Medical Services, a recipient of the Queens Award for Voluntary service, to help in their mission to provide World Class medical care to festival goers throughout the UK. Our Laufenn X Fit Van 4S tyres fitted to their emergency vehicle fleet will help deliver outstanding performance and safety all year round, whatever the conditions.”
Neil continued: ”I am proud to be 1 of 1500 volunteers of this great charity whose dedication and commitment have donated over 1 million pounds to good causes around the world.”
