Neu-Isenburg, Germany, 24th November 2017 – Korean grid girls will welcome visitors to the Hankook stand C100 in Hall 10. While Hankook’s tyres, also being exclusively supplied to DTM, are guaranteed to stand out during the show as they are fitted on the Ferrari 488 Challenge, the BMW M4 GT4 and the Lamborghini Huracán Performante. The company’s futuristic concept tyres will also be featured; innovative tyre designs that have been developed for future mobility under the project “Connect to the Connected World”.

As one of the top five tyre producers for volume worldwide and tyre partner for international racing series, the Essen Motorshow provides Hankook with the opportunity to present its broad spectrum of high-performance tyres to our dealers, customers and automotive fans,” says Dietmar Olbrich, Hankook’s Vice President for Sales and Marketing in German-speaking markets.
There is a quiz with great prizes awaiting all those who would like to take a close look at the Hankook stand. Visitors will have the opportunity to meet football stars from Borussia Dortmund and well-known German TV presenter Sidney Hoffmann from “PS-Profis”. Autographs, selfies and a chance to win a day at work with Sidney Hoffmann will be on offer.
At the 50th anniversary of the popular show, which attracts more than 360,000 visitors Hankook, as partner for the tuning industry, will be again revealing new “Tune it! Safe!” campaign vehicle on the VDAT stand (Verband der deutschen Automobiltunern - Association of German Car Tuners). As safety is playing an increasingly important role in the tuning segment, Hankook is supporting the safe tuning initiative by the federal German Ministry of Transport for the eleventh consecutive year. The car chosen to follow the Ford Mustang GT as the model police car showcasing safe tuning options will also be revealed on 1st December.
The tyre manufacturer’s line up will focus on the UHP flagship Ventus S1 evo², judged to be “outstanding” by AUTO BILD sportscars and “recommended” by Auto motor und sport. Experts were particularly impressed by the top level performance of the Ventus S1 evo² for handling and high grip; equipped with DTM technology, the tyre stands out for its combination of performance, durability, comfort and energy efficiency. Also on display will be the design-oriented wide base Ventus V12 evo2. With an attractive profile design, the V12 evo² is not only an optical highlight for every vehicle but it also provides necessary grip.
To set pulses racing, Hankook’s line up on the stand will include the BMW M4 GT4 with its famous three-litre twin-turbo straight-six-cylinder engine and 431 hp. The M4 GT4 received class victory at the 2017 Nürburgring 24 hour race. Visitors will also find the Ferrari 488 Challenge with 670 hp and the new Lamborghini Huracán Performante with 640 hp, less weight and more power than its predecessor on the Hankook stand. And what do all these high performance racing machines have in common? They are all fitted with Hankook tyres!
